[生命科学学院]，仲恺农业工程学院生命科学学院前身是仲恺农业学校农作物专业(含农学与植保专业), 1984年学校升格为仲恺农业技术学院
之后成立农学系, 2004年3月更名为农业与生物学院, 2005年7月经学校院系调整成立生命科学学院。生命科学学院现设有生物技术、动物科学（含
动物科学和动物医学方向）和生物科学3个本科专业，并参与两个硕士学科点建设， 形成了以本科教育为主、兼具成人教育（本科和专科）和研究
生教育的多层次多形式的高等教育体系。
仲恺农业工程学院生命科学学院现有教职工37人，其中教授8人、 副教授14人、讲师10人，教职工中具博士学位者16人，有多位教师曾出国进
修，并有4位教师被选拨为省级和校级“千百十”（重点教师）培养对象。学院现设生物技术系、生物科学系、 动物科学系和生物技术研究所等教
学和科研单位，配备有：基础生物学及生物技术实验教学示范中心、生物技术重点实验室和生物学、生理生化、遗传学、生物技术、细胞工程、动
物学、植物学等教学和科研实验室，建有两个产学研基地及教学农场和温室等实践教学设施，已具备较为完善的教学、科研和社会服务平台。
长期以来，生命科学学院全体教职工爱岗敬业，辛勤耕耘在教学、科研和社会服务的第一线，\先后有20多位教师获省市优秀教师称号， 或获
省级教学、科研成果奖，有两门省级重点课程（遗传学、植物生理学）、两门校级精品课程（植物生理学、植物学）、四门校级优秀课程（遗传学
生物化学、分子生物学、细胞工程）和两个学校重点学科（生物化学与分子生物学、植物学）。近年来，学院教师先后主持国家和省部级科研课题
20多项，涉及资源植物学、分子生物学、生物化学、植物生理学、动物繁育及动物医学、植物遗传育种等领域； 发表高水平研究论文200多篇，出
版专著和教材12部，培育植物新品种3个，获2项国家发明专利，开发实用技术15项， 获省级和市级科技奖各一项。 学院秉承首任校长何香凝先生
“扶助农工、注生重实践”的办学宗旨，在不同的历史时期， 为国家和地方的社会经济发展培养了大批优秀人才， 其中包括原国家农业部长陈耀
邦、中国工程院院士曾溢滔先生等政界和学术界的名流。
College of Life Sciences, Zhongkai University of Agriculture and Engineering has a long history going
back to 1927 when its predecessor, crop department (including agriculture and plant protection) of Zhongkai
Agriculture and Industry School was first established . It was upgraded to Agronomy Department of Zhongkai
Agrotechnical College in 1984 under the approve of the National Education Ministry . In March of 2004, the
Agronomy Department was expanded into College of Agriculture & Biosciences . College of Life Sciences of
Zhongkai University of Agriculture and Engineering was established in July of 2005 on the basis of College of
Agriculture & Biosciences . College of Life Sciences is a comprehensive college comprised of biosciences,
biotechnology , animal sciences and agriculture. The college has become a multi-level education institute
including undergraduate, graduate and professional education.
The faculty and staff of the college possess a wide array of research, instructional and extension skills
fitting into the categories of fundamental , process , management and development . Expertise includes:
cultivation, breeding and management of ginkgo, kiwifruit, crop and turf; Agribusiness management; Management
of domestic fowl and livestock; Application of biotechnology to agricultural plants and genetic improvement;
Physiological and biochemical analysis of plant system . There are three departments ( biosciences ,
biotechnology and animal sciences), the Biotechnology Institute and a high level Teaching & studying Center
on Experimental Education in the college. In addition , a research & practice base was constructed in Heping
County , northeast Guangdong , another base locates in Zhuhai City . Our web address is

For a long time , faculty and staff of College of Life Science devote love to their profession;
industriously work to teaching , research , agricultural technique extension and social service ; make great
progress in education and cultivation of the students and Half of the faculty members have got the
excellent teacher's title of Guangdong Province and four of them are candidates for the provincial “thousand-
hundred-ten project”. The college has been following the aim of “value practice and help farmer & worker”.
A number of excellent persons, including academician Dr. Zeng Yitao of Chinese engineering academy and former
national agriculture minister Mr. Chen Yaobang graduated from the college.
